|uStrategic management practices in construction companies of Mongolia will be studied in this paper. Questionnaires were provided to over 100 construction companies. The results of the research demonstrated that most of the firms practicing strategic management have a better chance when it comes to accomplishing their long term goal and being successful, thus staying competitive. The construction industry is one of the main pillars of an economy, driving force behind growth. The share that construction industry constitutes in the Mongolian economy has been growing considerably in the recent years and the trend is forecasted to continue with the mining boom happening and the economic growth skyrocketing, and all the construction work that comes along with it (The World Bank). As more and more moving out of tents and moving into the urban areas to live in apartments, the demand is poised to stay high, and the real estate prices are continuously increasing. The real estate prices have nearly doubled in time span of only seven months; it could be a sign of real estate bubble forming (real estate price graph, available at: 2012-02-25).
